The band has arisen in the winter of 2009.
In one of many Moscow musical projects, in the form of sessional musicians Greg Pekk (guitar), Matt Shepard (drums) and Ivan Danilov (keys) has been invited. Quickly having made friends, musicians often gathered, separately from the project and in jams lasting many hours, perfected skill of game on their instruments and command coordination.
In October 2009, by long searches, the fourth participant of group has been found in the Internet – Anree Chess (bass guitar). From this point on group, which took itself name THE TWEED the beginnings actively to write music and to be engaged in search of the main person in a rock group – the Vocalist.
During the period since November 2009 till June 2011 The Tweed have heard more than 1000 persons from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Korea, the countries of Baltic, France, Great Britain and other countries. But that 5th element in any way didn't want to be shown. At that moment has been written 11 finished musical compositions in which «the place» under a voice part has been left. Since summer of 2011, in the absence of alternative, The Tweed have started to write high-grade songs, trying to execute them with familiar vocalists, but it didn't suit musicians because any of them couldn't sing song The Tweed sincerely and with that sense which musicians in them put.
From June till November 2011 it has been written more than 50 reeves, melodies, vocal fragments, musical sketches and ready songs. In November, 2011 The Tweed have made decision to sing a song independently. The place of the in the lead vocalist in group was occupied with bass guitarist Anree Chess. In the snow afternoon 11.11.11 year the first song The Tweed «Sun Inside» was issued.
